Justin Rose hopes his new set of clubs can help him to achieve even more as he prepares for next week’s BMW Championship.

The 35-year-old has enjoyed another superb season, with victory in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans back in April the undoubted highlight.

The Englishman has secured another six top-10 finishes and has ended up outside the top six only once in the four majors.

The South African-born ace has become one of the most consistent players in the world and it is surely only a matter of time before he adds another major to the US Open title he won in 2013.

But next up for the Ryder Cup star is the FedEx Cup play-off’s third event at Lake Forest, Illinois and he will be hoping for a better showing than last week when he missed the cut in the Deutsche Bank Championship.

And, with new equipment in his bag, the Orlando resident is striving to become an even greater player with more control over the flight of his ball.

“As a better player you should expect more. You should expect to play well every single time you go out there,” he said.

“I’m very demanding of myself. I believe I can hit any ball to a yard. If I give myself the right inputs, if I just the wind correctly and have everything set up, I feel that I can hit a good shot.

“But I want to see it hit the wind though. I don’t want to see it dip higher or lower. I don’t want to see the spin rate knuckling or rising into the breeze. If I put the right feel on it from impact then I expect to see the ball do what I need to see it do.”
