Knox revels in Hilton Head showing

Russell Knox hopes to continue his push for a Ryder Cup spot after finishing joint-second at the RBC Heritage.

The Scottish number one produced a four-under-par 67 on the last round to finish alongside former world number one Luke Donald, while the South African Brendan Grace managed to come out on top.

With Knox looking for a late push for the European Ryder Cup team, the 30-year-old feels his game is in a good place following his efforts in South Carolina.

He was quoted in The Scotsman, saying: “I am thrilled where I finished and also how I played today as I made some nice putts out there today.

“I was thinking if I shot three under par on the back nine I might have a chance, so I was happy with the way I conducted myself and the shots I hit coming down the last few holes.”
