Tiger Woods has confirmed he has pulled out of the Safeway Open and the Turkish Airlines Open as his game is not yet ready.
The 14-time major champion was expected to make a highly-anticipated return at the Safeway Open this week, having stated he is back up to full fitness following a torrid time with injuries.
Back problems have kept Woods out of the sport and the 40-year-old claims he is physically ready to play, but his game is not up to scratch to feature in the next two upcoming tournaments.
He said in a statement on his official website: “I know that I am not yet ready to play on the PGA Tour or compete in Turkey.
“My health is good, and I feel strong, but my game is vulnerable and not where it needs to be. I’m close and I won’t stop until I get there.”
