Tiger Woods is back in action for the first time since the Masters at this week’s Wells Fargo Championship with a new set of clubs.
The 42-year-old was the big draw at Augusta but failed to live up to the hype, finishing in a share of 32nd as fellow American Patrick Reed claimed the Green Jacket.
It was Woods’ sixth event of the season after recovering from multiple back surgeries and there have been glimpses of his old self, with back-to-back top-five finishes prior to the Georgia showpiece.
Woods has taken some time off but will now tee it up at Quail Hollow and shared with followers on Instagram a photo of a new set of TaylorMade muscleback blade irons Tuesday morning.
The 14-time major winner signed an endorsement deal with TaylorMade in January 2017 and has used their drivers and fairway woods since December 2016.
But now he has their irons as well after the company worked closely with the veteran on the exact specifications required.
