Bernd Wiesberger won the Alstom Open de France by three shots on Sunday for a third career win on the European Tour.

The Austrian, who tied for 22nd in the Masters at Augusta National back in April, produced a brilliant performance on the final day to card a six-under par 65 at Le Golf National.

The 29-year-old fired in six birdies in a faultless round and recorded his first win on the European Tour in three years, his last success coming in 2012 at the Lyoness Open.

Englishman James Morrison, who won a second career title at the Open de Espana in May, finished in second-place on -10 after shooting a four-under par 67.

It was a day to forget for Jaco van Zyl as the South African struggled to a two-over 73 and the overnight leader had to settle for third position in the tournament.

Major winner Martin Kaymer also failed to make any inroads at the top and the German could only manage a one-under par 70 to end up all alone in fourth.

Elsewhere, Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello was fifth on -5 while Englishman Andy Sullivan was in a four-way tie for sixth after finishing on -4, nine shots off the pace.
