Phil Mickelson and Bill Haas have been selected to make up the 12-man USA team for the upcoming Presidents Cup.
The best from America are set to take on their international counterparts in October and captain Jay Haas has opted for the experience of Mickelson and his own son, Bill, who was just outside the top 10 US stars who earned the most FedExCup points from September 13, 2013 through to September 7, 2015.
Haas’s opposite number, Nick Price, has made Australian Steven Bowditch and Bae Sang-moon of South Korea his picks to join a strong-looking international side for the event at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon, South Korea.
The International team consists of the top 10 international players (non-US and non-European) from the world rankings as of September 7, 2015, and will be led by in-form world number three Jason Day.
