Jordan Spieth has announced he will make his European Tour debut at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship early next year.
The reigning world number one will play in the tournament at the start of 2016 with the event set to run from the 21–24 January.
The likes of Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler and Henrik Stenson are already set to play in the event that will take place at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
Spieth has enjoyed a superb 2015 after winning the Masters, US Open, Tour Championship and FedEx Cup.
Despite his success this year, he has opted for a different schedule in 2016 and the 22-year-old claims he cannot wait to play at the event.
“I am looking forward to coming to Abu Dhabi, especially after Rickie told me about what a fantastic event it is,” he said. “I love to travel and see the world and I am excited to not only play in the event but also check out Abu Dhabi for the first time.”
