Danny Willett has received an exemption on the PGA Tour following his recent victory at the Masters.
The Englishman fired a brilliant final round of 67 to claim his maiden major title at Augusta, after reigning champion Jordan Spieth saw the tournament slip from his grasp on the 12th.
As a result, Willett received a five-year exemption on the PGA Tour which will make him eligible to play in America until 2020-21.
He also received 600 FedEx Cup points for his victory to move up to 27th in the standings ahead of this week?s Valero Texas Open and looks set to qualify for the end of season play-offs.
The PGA Tour confirmed the news on Monday evening and he will now have more freedom to tailor his schedule heading into the second major of the year, June?s US Open at Oakmont.
