Soomin Lee won his first ever European Tour title at China’s Shenzhen International event.
The 22 year-old secured victory on Monday after play had been delayed over the weekend following heavy rain and strong winds.
As the final round got under way overnight leaders Lee Slattery and Alexander Levy quickly fell away as the chasing pack attempted to wrestle control of the leader board.
Ultimately it was Lee who made the decisive move when he birdied the 16th and eagled the 17th.
The South Korean finished the tournament on 16-under par, two shots ahead of joint runners up Brandon Stone and Joost Luiton.
Lee’s victory has now pushed him into the top ten in the Race to Dubai.
The European Tour roles into Beijing for the Volvo China Open this weekend.
