Heavy rain on day three of the US PGA Championship means several players will be playing more than 18 holes on Sunday.

Torrential rain, coupled with the threat of lightning, forced officials to call play off for the day at 23:00 BST on Saturday and that leaves a huge amount of golf to be played on Sunday.

Of the 86 players to make the cut, only the top 10 had been unable to start when play was suspended and action will start earlier on the last day in order to finish the competition.

American duo Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb are still leading the way on -9 but the leading pair will be tested even further as they need to complete 36 holes.

It will be the same for Emiliano Grillo and defending champion Jason Day, who are tied in third on -7, while recently crowned Open champion Henrik Stenson must also do the same.

Kevin Kisner is one of just 36 players to have finished his round on Saturday and he produced a stunning five-under-par 65 to move onto -5 for the tournament.

The American climbed 42 places in the standings and is currently in a four-way share of sixth alongside compatriots Patrick Reed and Brooks Koepka and German Martin Kaymer.

Padraig Harrington, who won the major event back in 2008, also signed for a five-under 65 and that leaves him five strokes off the lead at the moment.
