Justin Rose believes he is ready to add to his sole major title in 2017.
The Brit enjoyed a solid if unspectacular 2016 campaign, although he did claim gold at the Olympics in Rio.
Rose was rewarded for his exploits with an MBE in the New Year Honours List.
After a back injury sidelined him during the closing weeks of the campaign, he is now looking ahead to success in 2017, with a second major title undoubtedly his goal.
The 36-year-old’s only previous success in the sport’s biggest four events came at the 2013 US Open but the Englishman now feels he is returning to the type of form that inspired his success at Merion.
He said: “I have a great team around me and I’m now looking forward to 2017, rather than looking back to what we’ve done this yea
“We’re in a solid spot to build on and have a successful 2017. I want to get back to winning positions in titles and major championships.
“It was 2013 the last time I was able to win a major championship and I feel ready to get back in the winner’s circle.”
