James Morrison leads the way at the BMW International Open after carding a five-under-par round of 67 on Saturday.
The Englishman holds a two-shot advantage over compatriot Chris Paisley on 16-under-par for the tournament after another strong round at the Golfclub München Eichenried.
The 30-year-old fired six birdies during his round with his only dropped shot coming at the last after he had a bad lie on his approach, but he was still delighted with his days’ work.
He said: “I played good again. I didn’t really give anything away. The last was disappointing but I had such a bad lie on the left-hand side and to that pin.”
The world number 141 won recently at the Open de España to secure his second crown on the European Tour and he admitted that he will be drawing on his experiences in Catalonia during his final round on Sunday.
He continued: “The scoring has always been low over the years, so you have just got to keep going low and keep making birdies and I did that. I’ll keep trying – hopefully draw on Spain’s good vibes and see what happens.”
Hexham-born Paisley hit a 66 during his round to move into second place with Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee a shot further back on 13-under-par going into Sunday’s final 18 holes.
Overnight leader Rafael Cabrera-Bello endured a difficult day in Bavaria as he could only record a two-over-par round of 74 to slip off the pace and he is now six shots behind the leader with one round to play.
