Jason Day has revealed his delight after bouncing back from narrowly missing out on the Open Championship to win the Canadian Open.
The Australian missed out on the playoff at St Andrews last week by a single shot but has responded superbly from the disappointing end at the Old Course.
Day enjoyed a fine end to his round on Sunday, as he birdied the last three holes at Glen Abbey for a final round four-under 68 and 17 under overall.
The 27-year-old, who beat the American Bubba Watson by a single shot in Ontario, was delighted with how he got back to his best to claim the title on Sunday.
He said: “It’s just a really good feeling because whenever you win an Open championship of any country you’re doing something good.
“For it come after what happened last week, and to be able to hit that putt, I’m just over the moon right now.”
